Getting Started Direct Messenger?

To start Direct Messenger, simply click on the orange 'Start' on the homepage of the site.
A new window will open Direct Messenger.

How do I connect to Windows Live Messenger?

After starting Direct Messenger, click on the orange button 'sign in'.
A new window will open connection.
Note that the connection is on the Microsoft site via an encrypted connection via HTTPS.

How to start a conversation with someone?

Once logged into Windows Live Messenger, click the contact that you want to start a conversation in the contact list.
Then go to the tab 'Conversations' to talk.
Note that you can start as many conversations as you want simultaneously, knowing that the list of open conversations appear at the top conversations.

How to change your nickname or personal message?

Simply click on your username or your personal message at the top of the window Direct Messenger.
An editable text box will then appear.

How to change status Messenger?

Click your current status at the top of the window Direct Messenger.
A menu will then appear allowing you to choose your new status.

How do I log out of Windows Live Messenger?

To log out of Windows Live Messenger, click on your status and select 'Sign out'.
